This latest-generation retinoid serum acts specifically on the nuclear receptors of skin cells, stimulating renewal, regeneration and the synthesis of new extracellular matrix structures. It helps to even out skin microrelief and tone, visibly refine pores, support normal keratinisation and reduce the appearance of breakouts. Skin elasticity and hydration are restored, the complexion looks visibly brighter and fine lines are smoothed.
The serum contains two unique actives. HPR retinoid of the latest generation is one of the most advanced over-the-counter retinoids for skin renewal and is well tolerated, with a very low irritation potential. Renovage complex helps to densify the dermis and restore its turgor by stabilising telomeres in cell DNA. The blend of sweet almond and grape seed oils saturates the skin with antioxidants, helping to protect tissues from oxidative stress. The serum has a light oily texture, absorbs well and leaves no film on the skin surface.

FAQ
Can HPR SERUM be combined with a course of peels, and how should the two be spaced?
Yes, the combination makes sense: the serum works well in comprehensive programmes, in particular with Peel-Expert Shine for the correction of hyperpigmentation. The only question is the interval, and it depends on the depth of the peel.
- Superficial peels (including Peel-Expert) โ suspend on the day of the procedure and resume the following day.
- A course of TCA peels โ suspend 48 hours before the procedure and for 2โ3 weeks, until the skin has fully recovered.
Daily sun protection is essential throughout the course.
How should HPR SERUM be combined with acne therapy?
HPR SERUM is a professional skincare product, not an acne therapy, and it does not replace a treatment regimen prescribed by a physician. Its role in working with blemish-prone skin is to support normal keratinisation, reduce follicular hyperkeratosis and address post-acne marks and uneven tone.
The optimal scenario is the maintenance phase, once active therapy has been completed and in agreement with the treating physician. Introduce gradually, following the basic schedule: once every three days โ every other day โ daily.
The serum is not used:
- During an active inflammatory process, when topical therapy in combination with an antibiotic is indicated;
- In severe forms of acne against a background of systemic retinoid therapy โ this is excluded (see ‘Not recommended for’).
If the skin is already adapted to retinoids, can application start at daily frequency?
Even where there is prior experience of retinoids, the serum should be introduced gradually โ otherwise the risk of a retinoid reaction increases. Advise the patient accordingly, as with the prescription of any topical retinoid.
At the first signs โ mild tingling, discomfort, dryness, a feeling of tightness โ reduce the frequency of application by one step:
- Daily โ every other day;
- Every other day โ once every 2โ3 days.
If the signs persist, return to the previous step for a further week. The product does not need to be discontinued.
Can HPR SERUM be applied in the morning in autumn or winter? The sun is no longer so strong.
Yes, HPR retinoid is not phototoxic. However, moving to twice-daily application is advisable only once the skin is fully adapted to the evening routine, and with daily sun protection regardless of the season.
Also consider the texture: the serum is oily and may not be comfortable enough for daytime use, particularly on oily skin.
Can the retinoid serum be combined with an azelaic acid cream, or is it better to alternate days?
The combination is acceptable where indicated, but both products should be introduced gradually. A workable scenario is the azelaic acid cream daily and the serum every other day; the exact schedule depends on the skin’s resources and tolerance.
Will HPR SERUM dry the skin from the first applications? Should moisturising products be introduced straight away?
Yes, a cream is needed from the outset: 10โ15 minutes after the serum, always seal the skin with a cream. For oily skin โ P221/H222 Lipid Balancing Light Cream; for an anti-ageing effect โ P194/H195 Renew Lifting Cream.
GRANDACTIVE RETINOID 2%
The latest generation retinoid HPR (Hydroxypinacolone Retinoate) is a new ester of retinoic acid. It binds directly to the retinoid receptors of skin cells and takes effect without causing side effects like other retinoids. HPR regulates the transfer of genetic information from DNA to RNA, stimulates the synthesis of collagen, moisturizes glycosaminoglycans, and filaggrin protein, which is responsible for cytoskeleton stability. It also inhibits the activity of matrix metalloproteinases – enzymes that destroy collagen, which are activated by UVB radiation and other pathological factors. HPR thin the upper stratum layer of the epidermis consisting of dead horny scales, which leads to the reduction of wrinkles. By normalizing keratinization processes, it prevents the clumping of horny scales, which can clog pores. It also helps to normalize the production of sebum, which eliminates inflammatory acne-like rashes. Additionally, it whitens the skin and prevents the accumulation of melanin in the layers of the dermis and epidermis.
RENOVAGE
A unique peptide complex to thicken skin and for skin turgor. It specifically improves the structure of the dermal matrix. Biological studies have found that the life of a cell culture under the influence of Renovage increased by 1/3, and cell aging slowed down by 3.5 months. The complex provides an anti-age and protective effect by stabilizing telomeres and maintaining cell DNA. Improves tissue quality by regulating the activity of isoprenoids, which bind proteins in cells and direct them to the synthesis of the extracellular matrix, to the synthesis of transmembrane carriers for improved intercellular contact.
SWEET ALMOND OIL contains a large number of vitamins โ A, C, E, B, as well as phylloquinone โ a type of vitamin K, effectively reducing the permeability of the capillary wall and reducing the manifestations of couperose. Antioxidant activity of the oil is manifested due to the high content of polyphenolic compounds in the oil โ protocatechuic, p-hydroxybenzoic, vanillic acids. The peculiarity of almond oil is its duality: on the one hand, it is very nourishing and perfectly softens the skin, but on the other hand โ it is very light and is instantly absorbed into the skin without leaving a greasy feeling.
Sweet almond oil is a rich source of fatty acids, primarily oleic and linoleic acids. Oleic acid is involved in regulating the concentration of cholesterol in cell membranes, affecting their rigidity, which helps to restore skin elasticity. In addition, oleic acid has a striking feature โ in the area of the double bond it has a spatial curvature, due to which the length of the fatty acid chain decreases and the volume occupied by it increases. This feature determines the pronounced penetrating ability of oleic acid and its enhancer properties.
Linoleic acid is a binding component in the structure of the epidermis, regulating the development of keratinocytes. It has a strong anti-inflammatory effect, reduces skin reactivity, increases local immunity.
GRAPE SEED OIL is obtained by cold pressing, which allows it to retain all the important biologically active substances that determine its regenerative, antioxidant and cytoprotective properties. The oil is rich in micro and macro elements, essential fatty acids โ linoleic (up to 70%), oleic, palmitic, vitamins A, B, C, E, natural chlorophyll, and flavonoids. Flavonoids contained in grape seed oil โ resveratrol and proanthocyanidin have a very high degree of antioxidant activity and provide the most effective protection against free radicals. Proanthocyanidin is a very powerful natural antioxidant whose effect on free radicals is many times greater than of vitamins C and E.
Resveratrol has a similar biological function and structure to estradiol. It helps to normalize the estrogen balance and promote the natural collagen synthesis necessary for skin firmness and elasticity. Resveratrol stimulates superoxide dismutase which can neutralize free radicals and inhibit the skinโs lipid peroxidation reaction.
Grape seed oil is very light and delicate. It is also quickly absorbed without leaving a greasy film. That is why it is used in cosmetics as a care for all skin types, including oily skin, as the oil has bactericidal properties and helps to normalize sebum activity and narrow pores.
